A check was presented to the Hands of Hope Clinic

Scholarships to the Needy Children in India

With the help of brother knights we were able to provide scholarships to 10 needy children in India. This will help them go to school, help support their families and hopefully they will be able to give back to their community in the future. Some of these children have lost their mother or father or could not afford to go to school.

Please help to support this program. If you are interested in donating, please write a check to the "Knights of Columbus" and write in the memo "St Thomas Food For The Poor". Then deposit it in the Knights mailbox at church. Thanks.

"St. Thomas Food For The Poor" Sewing Machine Project

With the help from the Knights of Columbus Council 7601 and our church parishioners we were able to donate 15 sewing machines to the needy families in India in December 2023. We have hired an instructor for 3 months, who has been teaching them sewing machines skills. The goal is after 3 months training, they can take this life long skill, find employment and feed their families. Here is a video of sewing machines training that is under progress. Please take a look.

If you are interested in donating, please write a check to the "Knights of Columbus" and write in the memo "St Thomas Food For The Poor". Then deposit it in the Knights mailbox at church. Thanks.

"St. Thomas Food For The Poor" Sewing Machine Project

15 sewing machines were donated to the needy families in India today. 3 months training will be given. Training starts December 26th. Thank you for all the Knights of Columbus brothers and everyone else that made this possible.

St. Thomas Food for the Poor

With the help of the Knights of Columbus Council 7601 and our church parishioners we are able to donate 15 sewing machines to the needy families in India in December 2022. Wheelchair Ramp Consruction

Here are some pictures of some our Knights building a wheelchair ramp. Our Council voted to fund and build a wheelchair ramp for a disabled women. She was unable to leave her home without a walker or a wheelchair. "Thank You" to the volunteers who came and completed this project.

Bread Ministries

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Knights, the "Bread Ministry" has been going on for many years. Bread from local stores is offered to members of our parish and to families in need. Donations made through this ministry are used to help families in our community and to fund other initiatives that impact dozens of families every year. Approximately $10,000 is raised annually from this Ministry.

Thank you to Brother Aro Gopu and Brother Al Flores for keeping this Ministry going for many years.

Generous Knight's donation to "A Friends House"

Sir Knight Fred Johnson and Sir Knight Wally Marchant, both members of Council 7601, presented two checks to Mr. Gary Wright, Executive Director of A Friend’s House. Also present was Mrs. Melissa Thomas, Human Service Provider, who has counseled and worked with children in crisis for the past 15 years. Mr. Wright thanked the Knights of Columbus for the donation and confirmed the donation would be used to help provide presents and gifts to the children in their care on Christmas morning.

Atlanta Motor Speedway Signups

The Folds of Honor Quicktrip 500 is fast approaching. This is a major fundraiser for our council, bringing in more than $10,000 dollars. That is over 40% of our Charitable Donations Budget and without it many of the groups that benefit from our donations would not receive them.

With your help this is an event filled with fellowship and making new acquaintances.

Come join us at the Atlanta Motor Speedway February 17th through the 25th.

We will be conducting signups after each Mass in the Church hall before and after Mass. Stop by and see us to find out where you can help.

Atlanta Motor Speedway Signups
Once again race time is fast approaching and the Atlanta Motor Speedway will soon be swinging the gates open for the Folds of Honor Quiktrip 500 Race.

We need help from Feb 23rd thru Mar 6th. This can be a lot of fun when there are enough volunteers. Come get to know your other brother Knights and visit with the race fans that come to our area from all over the US to visit Henry Co. Being a Knight is not a requirement for helping out. If you have a friend or family member who would like to come out and enjoy the experience of helping out, invite them to join us.

Make plans to join us at the Speedway this February / March.

We partnered with United States Department of Probation. Jeffery Lee is the Supervising Probation Officer. His office has a program identifying homeless families who need assistance. Our council donated 20 coats for needy families with kids.

Hannah Springs Habitat for Humanity Build

Kenneth Dean and Lovejoy Councilwoman Mary Ann Carp. Kenneth Dean is a senior veteran who grew up in Macon, Georgia. He served in the Navy for 10 years as a Hospital Corpsman, providing life-saving medical care to naval personnel and their families. He also spent 4 years working in the Marines, and served in 4 campaigns, including Desert Storm. We had about 15 knights help paint siding.

Letter From Our Past Grand Knight

Dear Brothers,

After 3 years today, is officially my last day as Grand Knight of Council 7601. I want thank each and everyone of you for your support as well as for the opportunity to serve you over the last three years. I believe we have had a lot of fun and success and that everything our Council accomplished was due to the great men and families that make up Holy Trinity Council.

I am confident that Dru and Arnold and the rest of the new leadership team will be able to help lead our Council to even greater success as we continue to live and model the vision of Father McGivney.

When I joined the Knights 6 years ago I did not do so with the intention of becoming Grand Knight, but I will forever be grateful for the faith you placed in me over the last 3 years, this experience has helped me grow as a Catholic man, father and husband.

I ask that you support the new Officers in the same fashion that you supported me.

2014 Knight and Family of the Year

Congratulations to Al Florez as the Knight of the Year and Aro and Suma Gopu as well as Doug and Dorothy Braunsroth who were the families of the year. These individuals stood out as shining examples of people who follow the principles of our founder Father Michael McGivney's principles of charity, unity and fraternity.

Shining Light Ministries

Our council was able to present Shining Light Ministries with two checks for a total of $3,700. This money was raised through everyone's hard work of selling and purchasing the k of C raffle tickets. They were extremely surprised and very appreciative. It is always rewarding to see the fruits of the labor of our council and being able to help those who truly need it.

Venerable Michael J. McGivney Medallion Presentation

The medallion was presented by Supreme to each Knight who proposes a new Knight of Columbus during the 2012/2013 fraternal year.

This medallion commemorates both the 130th anniversary of the founding of the Knights of Columbus and the 160th anniversary of the birth of our founder. On the obverse, the medallion features Father Michael J. McGivney with the Emblem of the Order; and on the reverse the medallion portrays the Holy Spirit above the birthplace of the Knights of Columbus - St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Connecticut.

Congratulations to Joey Landon

Brother Joey Landon, Third Degree Knight and Outside Guard of Holy Trinity Council 7601 of McDonough recently won a Gold and Silver medal at a Special Olympics Ski Competition in Boone, North Carolina. Brother Joey brought his medals to the Council meeting on March 5, 2012 to proudly share with his brother Knights. Joey exemplifies the principles of the Order by participating in our activities whenever possible. Please join Council 7601 in congratulating him.

Council Award For Our Support Of Seminarian's

At the February 6, 2012, Holy Trinity Council 7601 Business Meeting, Worthy District Deputy Wally Marchant presented Grand Knight Joe Witman and Council Chaplain Reverend Father Chito Palang with a plaque from the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus for their support to the "Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP)" in support of seminarians. In addition to recognizing Holy Trinity Council 7601 for their past contributions, the plaque is also used to keep track of future year to year donations Council 7601 makes to young men studying for the priesthood.
